Dr. Yevgeniya Gaber is a Ukrainian foreign policy expert, a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council IN TURKEY and the Center in Modern Turkish Studies, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA), Carleton University. She is also teaching a MA course on the Black Sea security at NPSIA as a visiting scholar and 2022 Özerdinç – Grimes Fellow.
Gela Merabishvili is an associated researcher at CSS (Tbilisi) and a post-doctoral researcher at Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest). He specializes in the political geography of territorial conflicts, nationalism and borders, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe and the Caucasus region. He holds a PhD degree in Planning, Governance and Globalization (Virginia Tech, 2020) and two Master’s Degrees in the EU foreign affairs (Maastricht University, 2012) and regional politics in the Caucasus (Tbilisi State University, 2013).
Dr. Natalie Sabanadze is a Cyrus Vance visiting professor in International Relations at Mount Holyoke College, USA. Prior to taking up this position in August 2021, she served as head of the Georgian mission to the European Union and ambassador plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Belgium and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg since 2013. In the period of 2005-2013, she worked at the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities in The Hague, Netherlands, where she held several senior positions including head of Central and South East Europe section and later, head of the Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia section.
Dr. Tatia Chikhladze is an Associate Professor at the British University of Georgia. From 2015 to 2018, she worked as a researcher at the Research Centre for East European Studies at the University of Bremen. She has extensive experience of working on various analytical positions at different public institutions in Georgia. Tatia completed her PhD at the University of Bremen in Germany. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on strategies of post-Soviet authoritarian regimes for power preservation in times of political crises.
Nino Ghvinadze is a nonresident fellow with the Eurasia Center, Atlantic Council. Her areas of interest include policy analysis, migration policy and data management, political partis and regional security. In the past 10 years Nino has worked at international development organizations, local think tanks, and government entities.
Andro Atoev is Krakow-based, Tbilisi-born observer and occasional pundit of Georgian and regional politics and international affairs. For over 10 years he has worked in the corporate world in finance and human resources fields having previously graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering. He joins EDSN as a rising scholar to enhance his links to the Eurasia regional analytical community and continue his growth as a researcher and analyst.
Johnny G. Melikyan is a Yerevan-based analyst and political scientist, focusing on the on regional developments, domestic and foreign policy, as well as on the security and conflict resolution in the South Caucasus. He is currently working as a Senior Research Fellow at the Orbeli Center, a think tank created by the SNCO “Public Relations and Information Center” of Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia (since 2019).
