Emma Pratt is a lecturer at the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Russian Area Studies from Wellesley College, and studied abroad at the London School of Economics (Government) and Russian State University for the Humanities (Russian as a Foreign Language). She has also completed a Master’s degree in Slavic and East European Studies from the Ohio State University, where she won Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships for Russian and Georgian. Her research interests include legal reform and development of the rule of law in Georgia and other post-Communist countries.
Diana Lezhava – Project Coordinator
Diana Lezhava cooperates with CSS since 2010. She completed her undergraduate studies at Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (English Language and Literature). In 2009 Diana received MA in International Affairs from Georgian Institute of Public Affairs. Her research topic was North Caucasus and Georgia. Diana’s working experience started in private sector when she started working as an Assistant to General Manager at Roniko ltd (2007-2010). In 2009-2010 she collaborated with publishing house Diogene and translated educational literature under the project of Ministry of Education of Georgia. In March 2010 she started working at CSS as a Students’ Dean and Director’s Assistant. Her main responsibilities were administration of international interdisciplinary MSocSc academic programs which included students’ recruitment and admission process, students’ integrated services, etc. In 2012-2013 she was the coordinator of Doctoral Training Unit/Office Manager at CSS. Starting from March 2013 she became the head of Doctoral Training Unit of Center for Social Sciences. In 2014 Diana became an Administrative Manager of CSS and a Director of American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) Georgia Branch. Since 2015 she is an Administrative Director at CSS.
