Nina Kuriata, Editor with 20-year long career in Ukrainian and international media outlets, including radio, print and digital outlets with the experience of reforming media outlets and launching/re-launching the websites. Former Head of the BBC News Ukrainian Service (2011 – 2019). At Tortoise media, I produce analysis and podcasts on defence and security issues in Europe and beyond, but first and foremost – Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. As a media trainer and consultant, I help media in Eastern Europe to improve their journalism and editorial management skills, providing media training and individual coaching for journalists and editors. I am also a Ukrainian poet and writer, having published three books of poetry and my debut novel “Dzvinka” about the life in the Soviet Union and Independent Ukraine (Laboratory Publishing house, 2023)
