Babken DerGrigoryan

Babken DerGrigorian is an economist, focusing on fiscal policy and redistributive conflicts in non-democratic contexts. He received his MSc in political economics from the London School of Economics in 2016. Most recently, he collaborated with the HALO Trust to study the economic impact of landmines in Nagorno-Karabakh. Babken has also spent the last several years documenting and participating in various social movements in Armenia, including the coining of the term #ElectricYerevan in 2015. Currently, he is serving as Special Advisor to the Ombudsman of Nagorno-Karabakh, and is serving as Executive Director of the (soon to be launched) Artsakh Foundation. He splits his time between London and Yerevan.
