Her focus at the Ministry includes European integration and police reform with the emphasis on a community-oriented policing approach. She is also a lecturer in nationalism&nbsp;studies&nbsp;at East European University in Tbilisi.&nbsp;Ms. Surmava is currently a Leadership Lab Fellow at the German Marshall Fund (GMF) and in 2017 participated in Professional Fellows Program (PFP), sponsored by the U.S. State Department.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Surmava holds an M.A. in Nationalism Studies from Central European University (Budapest, Hungary) and a B.A. in International Relations from Tbilisi State University (Tbilisi, Georgia).<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teona Surmava works at the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
